Winter "Summer" Day

This economy is enough to depress even the happiest of folk, so we have been so grateful for a week of bliss here in Laguna. It's been 80 degrees all week and we get to share a beautiful day all together (except for Cristian who is paintballing all day w/his best buddy - and he's actually been at the beach all week after school anyway ...). Craig has been a little jealous having to work all week, so this is his time to relax in the sun. Drake and Ryder love skimming in the cold water, climbing on the big beach rocks, huntin' for crabbies in the tidepools, and diggin' big holes in the sand. Daddy and Mommy are just happy that we don't have to panic and chase a toddler around the water's edge anymore. Craig, the now 40 year old, is starting to feel it. :)

Fish Family Survives 2008

Merry Be-Lated Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
We are all looking forward to a great new year. The kids are dying that they had to go back to school after their 2 week holiday break. They pretty much spent all their time on boards: skimboards, surfboards, or skateboards. No, not snowboards yet this season, but we'll keep you posted on that.
Cristian's football team ended up as the CIF Champs - Yahoo!! And we are so proud of Cristian's shining moment when he caught a touchdown pass in one of the games. We are also proud of his report card with only A's and B's!! You go boy!!
Drake had a fantastic soccer season and is now busy with his new PSP and reading all his Captain Underpants novels.
Ryder is just always busy busy and has watched his new Tony Hawk Secret Skatepark Tour DVD at least 30 times since Christmas. He is an obsessed skateboarder dude and is acually a pretty good little skater.
Craig is still schooling - only 1 semester left (until he gets into his MBA program) and recently started a new job and is doing fantastic!
I'm just doing the mom thing and dabbling a little in the fashion-world. My company, Pearl Swimwear, still exists on a small and more manageable level.
We hope that 2009 brings blessings galore to everyone!!
